A Truly Customized Experience
Lash extensions should enhance your eyes — not compete with them.
Our lash experts create seamless, intentional sets—tailored to:
- Natural lash density and strength
- Eye shape and lid space
- Your desired look — natural, textured, soft glam, or bold
- Your daily routine — makeup habits, workouts, sleeping position
- Past lash experiences, including sensitivities or retention concerns
From there, we determine the ideal length range, curl, density, and mapping style to achieve your goals.
Before Your Appointment
If you’re new to GT LAB, please arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork.
Please arrive with:
- Completely clean, makeup-free eyes
- No lash curlers used that day
If you wear contacts: please bring your case—we’ll ask you to remove them prior to service.
Please avoid caffeine to minimize eye fluttering.
If You Have Existing Lashes from Another Salon
Before your fill, please send a clear photo of your current lashes so your artist can assess your set in advance.
A removal may be recommended if:
- Lashes are clumped together with:
- Retention is poor or uneven
- The previous application is too heavy or causing damage
Full Set of Lash Extensions
A Full Set is your baseline—fully customized and expertly mapped to your features for a clean, seamless finish.
Each extension is applied lash-by-lash for balanced length, density, and longevity.
A Full Set is required if:
- You’re new to extensions
- You have less than 40% of extensions remaining
- Your last fill was over 4 weeks ago
- Your current set is grown out, uneven, or poorly applied
Lash Fills
A Lash Fill is a maintenance service designed to refresh your extensions.
Because your natural lashes follow a growth cycle, extensions naturally fall out over time — this is completely normal.
A fill replaces what has shed and restores fullness, symmetry, and shape.
Lash Extension Aftercare
Wash your lashes DAILY
Clean lashes create stronger bonding and better retention. Dirt, oil, and makeup residue are the leading causes of premature shedding.
Keep oils away from the lash line
Avoid cleansing balms, facial oils, heavy eye creams, and oil-based makeup removers near the eyes. Oil breaks down adhesive and causes premature shedding.
Avoid mascara & water-proof makeup
Mascara clumps extensions and creates buildup that’s hard to remove. Water-proof makeup requires an oil-based removal, which weakens your extensions.
Brush lashes daily
Use a clean spoolie and brush gently when lashes are fully dry (morning, after showering, before bed). Brushing wet lashes can pull and twist extensions.
Avoid heat and steam
Saunas, hot showers, or cooking with heat may weaken curl and adhesive bondage.
Don’t pick, pull, or rub
This is the #1 cause of lash damage and gaps. If something feels off, contact us — we’ll fix it correctly.
Book fills every 2-3 weeks
Waiting longer leads to gaps, uneven texture, and more time needed to rebuild the set.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
No — not when they’re applied correctly and maintained with proper aftercare. Damage usually comes from:
- Improper application
- Extensions that are too heavy/long for the natural lash
- Picking, rubbing, or pulling
Our goal is always beautiful results + healthy natural lashes.
How long do lash extensions last?
Lash extensions shed with your natural lash cycle, which is why fills are necessary. Individual lashes naturally shed and regrow continuously, so some extensions will fall off each week.
With proper aftercare, most clients maintain a full look with fills every 2–3 weeks.
Can I wear eye makeup with lash extensions?
Yes, but keep it lash-friendly:
- Avoid oil-based products near the eyes
- Skip waterproof makeup (it requires oil to remove)
- Avoid mascara on extensions (it causes clumping and buildup)
If you want a darker lash line, ask us to adjust your density or mapping instead of relying on makeup.
Can I wear mascara with lash extensions?
We don’t recommend it. Mascara:
- Clumps extensions together
- Creates buildup at the base
- Often requires oil-based remover
All of that lowers retention. If you feel like you “need mascara,” you may prefer a different style or density — we can tailor your set.
I have sensitive eyes — can I still get extensions?
Often, yes. Sensitivity can be caused by multiple factors (pads, tape, fumes, allergies, or rubbing).
Let us know your history before your appointment so we can adjust products and technique. If you’ve had a reaction to adhesive before, we’ll recommend the safest next step.
Can I get a fill if my lashes were done somewhere else?
It depends on the condition of the set and the quality of the work. If the set is heavy, clumped, or grown out, we’ll recommend a removal and fresh full set for better results and retention.

How often should you get a Lash Fill?
We recommend a fill every 2–3 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle and aftercare routine.
Waiting longer than 3 weeks often results in visible gaps, longer appointment times, and in some cases a Full Set.
What is your Lash Fill Policy?
To book a Lash Fill, you must have at least 40% of your extensions remaining at the time of your appointment, and your visit must fall within 4 weeks of your last lash appointment.
If retention is below 40% or you’re outside the 4-week window, a Full Set will be required.
