Areola Restoration · Vero Beach, FL

Reconstruction rebuilds the shape. This restores the detail.

Using medical tattooing, we recreate color, dimension, and the appearance of natural texture on healed reconstructed or scarred tissue. The result is dimensional rather than flat, with shading and highlight that reads correctly in normal light.

It is done privately, by appointment, without rush. Your work is performed by Taylor, who is board certified in medical tattooing and has spent most of her career on post-surgical restoration alongside plastic surgeons in Florida and South Carolina.

Results shown are individual and not guaranteed. No client photographs are published without written permission.
Pricing

What it costs, and why we quote it in person.

Every reconstruction is different. Two people with the same surgery can present completely differently at the skin. We would rather tell you the real price after looking than a low one before. Consultations are free and carry no obligation. Call (772) 643-3988.

Why It Varies

Case by Case

Grafted, radiated, or heavily scarred tissue takes more work. Matching one side to an existing areola is a different job than building both. Prior tattooing adds complexity. Some cases are two appointments, some are three.

You will have a firm number before anything is scheduled, and there is no cost to find out.

Combining

Multiple Procedures

Most of Taylor's clients book more than one service in a visit. One appointment means one numbing, one healing period, and one set of aftercare instructions instead of two or three.

Two services in one appointment are $100 less. Three or more are $200 less. Taylor will tell you what is reasonable to combine and what is better split.

Areola restoration, answered.

Who performs areola restoration at GT LAB?+
Taylor, who is board certified in medical tattooing with a specialization in scar camouflage. She has fourteen years in medical aesthetics, twelve years teaching permanent makeup, and has worked alongside plastic surgeons in Florida and South Carolina on post-surgical restoration. She sees clients at GT LAB by scheduled appointment.
How much does areola tattooing cost in Vero Beach?+
Bilateral restoration starts at $700 and is finalized at your consultation once Taylor has assessed the tissue. Pricing varies with tissue condition, whether one side or both are being restored, prior tattooing, and how many sessions the case will need. The consultation is free and you will have a firm number before anything is scheduled.
Do I need clearance from my surgeon?+
Yes. Tissue must be fully healed, and there is a minimum window after your last reconstructive procedure. Bring your surgeon's sign-off to your consultation. If you are still in active treatment, we will wait. There is no deadline here.
I had radiation. Does that change anything?+
Tell us at your consultation. Radiated tissue takes pigment differently and often needs more than one session. This is expected rather than a complication, and we plan for it from the start.
How many appointments will it take?+
At least two. The first establishes placement, color, and dimension. The second, four to six weeks later, corrects whatever the skin did while healing. Reconstructed and scarred tissue does not hold pigment the way undamaged skin does, so this second pass is part of the work rather than an add-on. Some cases need a third session, and Taylor will tell you at the second appointment rather than leaving you to wonder.
Will my insurance cover it?+
It may. Under federal law, health plans that cover mastectomy are generally also required to cover reconstruction of the nipple and areola, and many patients do not realize this can extend to tattooing. We provide an itemized superbill you can submit to your insurer. We cannot guarantee reimbursement, and we would encourage you to call your plan before your appointment, but most people never ask and it is worth asking.
How private is the appointment?+
Appointments are scheduled in a private room, first or last of the day. No photographs are taken without your written permission, and consent to photograph is separate from consent to publish. You can agree to one and not the other. Nothing appears anywhere without you specifically saying yes to that use.
How do I book?+
Areola restoration is consultation-first. It is not booked online, and we will not quote you over the phone. Call or text (772) 643-3988 and we will arrange a private consultation with Taylor. Bring questions, and bring your surgeon's clearance if you have it.
